Meet Our SLP
As a speech-language pathologist with more than 14 years of experience in school-based settings, I am passionate about helping students develop the communication skills they need to succeed both academically and socially. Through my work with Illinois school districts, I provide high-quality in-person and virtual speech and language services to both bilingual (English/Spanish) and monolingual students.
I understand the challenges districts face when it comes to staffing, compliance, and ensuring students receive consistent services. My goal is to be a reliable partner by providing flexible, dependable support that helps maintain continuity of services and keeps students progressing toward their goals.
I specialize in working with students who have speech sound disorders, articulation difficulties, and language delays. Therapy sessions are engaging, individualized, and evidence-based, with a strong focus on helping students make meaningful progress on their IEP goals. I value collaboration and work closely with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
In addition to direct services, I provide thorough documentation, regular progress monitoring, and clear communication to ensure districts remain informed and compliant with special education requirements.
Above all, I am committed to building positive partnerships with school districts and supporting students in becoming confident, effective communicators. My goal is to provide dependable, high-quality services that help students thrive in the classroom and beyond.
“I had the pleasure of working alongside Ana Diaz for over 10 years, and I can confidently say she is an exceptional bilingual speech-language pathologist. Ana brings a rare combination of expertise, compassion, and genuine care to everything she does. She has a remarkable ability to connect with children, making them feel safe, understood, and empowered to express themselves. Her warm and empathetic nature allows her to build strong, trusting relationships not only with her students, but also with their families. Ana consistently puts each child’s well-being at the center of her work, ensuring that therapy is both meaningful and individualized. In addition to her natural rapport with children, Ana has an impressive clinical skill set. She is knowledgeable, thoughtful in her approach, and highly effective in supporting a wide range of communication needs in both English and Spanish. She is also a collaborative team member who is always willing to share ideas and support others. Any child or family would be incredibly lucky to work with Ana. I wholeheartedly recommend her without hesitation.”
